Are you already working in a school and would like to train as a Primary Teacher?

This Teacher Apprenticeship is designed for graduates who are currently working in a school and would like to remain in their current employment while working towards Qualified Teacher Status.  This route is particularly well-suited to Teaching Assistants, Higher Level Teaching Assistants, Unqualified Teachers and capable graduates.

The Teacher Apprenticeship is a Government-funded route to Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).  It is a Level 6 Postgraduate Qualification.

Over four terms your school will employ you as an Unqualified Teacher, spending four days in school and one day at University.

Candidates for the Teacher Apprenticeship must demonstrate that they are able to achieve QTS by the end of the training programme.
